Hybrid teaching made simple – using a laptop

How to use a laptop instead of the podium computer to deliver a hybrid teaching session in a classroom.

This article should be used in conjunction with the guide Hybrid teaching made simple.

Please note that using a laptop screen will result in the BB Collaborate panel and the PowerPoint presenter panel (which need to be displayed side-by-side) being quite small.

Recording and sharing document cameras in BB Collaborate will not be possible with this method.

Step 1

Plug the laptop into the HDMI socket on the Extron box on the podium and select ‘AUXILIARY’/’Laptop’ to display the laptop on the projected screens.

Step 2

Follow the same procedure as using a podium PC. This may be found in the guide Hybrid teaching made simple.
